If you are like me and have the SavorOne card, you may have noticed an email sent out stating that the SavorOne was changing to the Savor Card. Back in July, Capital One stopped applications for the Savor card. The Savor card had some great bonuses for many different categories, but it also had a $95 fee.

If you spend a good bit on dining and groceries, then the Savor card could have been worth it for you to have those bigger bonuses, but if you did not like the $95 fee, it makes sense. The SavorOne has great bonuses that compete with many cards, like the Chase Freedom Unlimited and other cashback cards. It also sets up well with the Capital One Duo. Why need three cards when you can have two with Capital One?

For all of those who hold the Capital One SavorOne, that card will transition to the Savor card with a new look and a new name. That is about it. It is confusing why this is being done; I know the thinking.

With the new card's rebrand, Capital One is offering a new bonus. Spend $500 in the first three months and get $250 in cash rewards. For those who hold the Capital One Venture X card, you could transfer that $250 to 25000 points and use it for travel or send it to transfer partners for free flights.

For those who do not have the Savor or the SavorOne card, this could be a chance to add a great card to your arsenal. It is one of the best cashback cards on the market now, and it is perfect for those of you who like food—that would be me!!!

There is an unlimited 3% cash back on groceries and dining, plus 3% on entertainment and popular streaming services. It will receive 1% back on everything else. So that means 3% on Netflix, Zoos, Aquariums, Bars, Restaurants, and your neighborhood cafe down the road.

Then, you can get 5% back on spending money through the Capital One Travel Portal. That would be on flights, hotels, and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. The travel portal is powered by Hopper, and in my opinion, it is one of the best travel portals out there—much better than the Chase Travel Portal.

You can also get 8% back shopping through Capital One Entertainment. These could be tickets for Broadway, March Madness, and VIP packages for College Football Playoffs.

The best part is that there is no annual fee. That means it is a great cashback card overall. To make it even better, join it with the Capital One Venture X, and you will have all bases covered.

Bottom Line:

If you have the SavorOne card, nothing really changes except the name on the card. If you're looking for a new cashback card, the Savor Card could be the one you add to your wallet. It has great bonuses, including a $250 bonus for spending $500 in three months. That's getting half of your money back.
