Blushin' Bubbles, Cheeser's Palace Cafe, and Clermont Brewing Company are popular options downtown. For shopping, this beautiful district is full of mom-and-pop shops and boutiques where you'll find unique collectibles, gifts, and clothes.

3. Head to Waterfront Park at Lake Minneola

If you're looking for a family-friendly attraction in Clermont, I will definitely recommend Waterfront Park along Lake Minneola. This popular public park is located between Eighth Street and East Avenue. Lake Minneola is a beautiful destination itself. From swimming and paddling to boating and jet skiing, there are many fun things to do there. There is a paved trail along the lake, which is part of the South Lake Trail. 

Other park features include a swimming beach, entertainment pavilion, splash pad, boat ramp, fishing pier, and Clermont Historic Village. The park hosts triathlons, weekly festivals such as Pig on the Pond every October, and numerous water competitions, like the Leader of the Lake Regatta and Champion's Dragon Boat Festival. Champions Splash Park is also located in the park and has an entrance ticket of $2. So, spoil your kids with a day of fun, sun, and water!

4. Citrus Tower

If you love nostalgic roadside attractions, Clermont has a lot of them. The Citrus Tower, also known as Florida Citrus Tower, is one of these iconic landmarks in the city. This 226-foot orange and white tower was built in 1956 to showcase the hundreds of acres of citrus groves that once dominated the area. 

The tower is a tribute to Florida's citrus industry. Those who want a 360-degree view of Clermont must climb this 22-story tower. 5. Palatlakaha River Park

For nature lovers, Palatlakaha River Park is a beautiful place to visit in Clermont, FL. The park has a narrow river flowing between Lake Louisa and Lake Susan. Its 2.5-mile long, lush, scenic cypress corridor is full of wildlife, including the Florida scrub jay, bobcats, oak toads, black racer snakes, and gopher tortoise. 

There is a mile-long walking trail filled with a variety of wildflowers and different elevation points. Educational signs along the trail will guide you and provide info about local plant varieties. This 18-acre park also has a playground, a picnic spot, a pavilion with a grill, and two fishing piers.

It is also a perfect place to go birdwatching. Early mornings and sunsets are the best times to spot Cooper's hawks and summer tanagers. 

For many tourists, the riverpark is a starting point on the Palatlakaha Run Blueway Trail, the longest trail in Lake County. Boaters can launch a kayak here to reach the Clermont Chain of Lakes and the Crooked River. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and has a lot to enjoy and explore.

6. Bike the South Lake Trail

Clermont is officially certified as the best Bicycle-Friendly and Runner-Friendly Community in Florida. Because of the rolling hills around Clermont, the bikers are more active here. The South Lake Trail (aka the Lake Minneola Scenic Trail) is one of the most scenic biking trails in Central Florida.

This 13-mile paved trail runs along the shores of Lake Minneola and other smaller lakes of the chain. It is part of a larger trail network, the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail, which plans to extend from St. Petersburg to Cape Canaveral. The trail also connects with the West Orange Trail, creating 36 miles of biking through Orange and Lake Counties. 

The South Lake Trail offers attractive amenities for cyclists, such as shade, picnic tables, benches, restrooms, information kiosks, water fountains, showers, and guiding signs. Side streets off the trail lead to shops and restaurants in downtown Clermont, making it easy to grab a bite or shop. With a mix of gentle hills and flat sections, the trail is a perfect adventure for novice and experienced bikers.

7. Clermont Historic Village Museum

While biking along South Lake Trail, make a stop at Clermont Historic Village Museum to learn about the city's past. This beautiful museum is a collection of artifacts and historic buildings, including the Townsend House, the Kern House, the Cooper Memorial Library, and the WWII Quonset Hut. Townsend House was home to Clermont's first African American residents. Kern House was built by one of the city's original 31 pioneers in 1885. This house tells the story of Clermont's early days.

WWII Quonset Hut displays equipment, uniforms, newspaper clippings, and documents from World War II. Other museum displays include a railroad depot, historic automobiles, and Herring Hooks Schoolhouse. You can visit on weekends or call to book private tours outside of the museum's operating hours. The museum is free to visit, but the Clermont Historical Society requests a donation of $5 from tourists over 12.

8. Presidents Hall of Fame

The next nostalgic attraction to add to your Clermont itinerary is the President's Hall of Fame.   The museum started in 1964 with wax sculptures of all U.S. presidents up to Nixon. Originally known as the House of Presidents, the museum was expanded and renamed by John and Jan Zweifel.

After their passing in 2020, their family continues to run the museum. Today, visitors can see the famous 60-foot White House model, Oval Office, and many other presidential-themed exhibits, such as presidential china, authentic letters, and campaign items. There is even a nod to Mount Rushmore right outside the entrance. 

The museum also has a great gift shop with unique souvenirs. This roadside treasure is a must-visit for anyone interested in American history and presidential memorabilia.

9. Visit the Showcase of Citrus

This family-owned, 2500-acre citrus fruit farm grows over 50 varieties of citrus fruits. Here, you can pick fresh citrus like oranges, limes, lemons, and more directly from the trees. They also offer fun activities like a cattle ranch, monster truck tours through the groves, gem mining, and visiting and feeding farm animals. 

After these adventures, freshen up yourself with a local orange blossom pilsner at their outdoor bar. The farm also has an Old Time Country Store where you can purchase fresh produce, local honey, and unique gifts. 11. Enjoy Outdoors at Lake Louisa State Park

This green space has a 16-mile horseback riding trail, a 20-mile hiking trail, and biking trails. The three main lakes in the park are Dixie Lake, Hammond Lake, and Louisa Lake. You can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding on these lakes.
