1. Afghanistan
Afghanistan has been at war for over two decades. It ranks number one on the global peace index as the most dangerous country in the world. With political corruption and instability within the country, the citizens take much of the beating. The infrastructure needs to be improved, and it is not a safe place to live or visit.
2. Yemen
Yemen has been in a civil war since 2015. Due to the war, many of its citizens have been killed in the conflict. They lack education and health resources and have a low food supply due to famine. It is not a place to visit on your vacation travels.
3. Syria
Civil war erupted in 2011 in Syria, making it a dangerous place for people to live. With a death toll of over 250,000 and over 7.6 million people displaced, it has been a terrible place to live. The infrastructure is destroyed. The health and education systems are in shambles. Various terrorist groups have risen within the chaos that has ensued in Syria. There is a reason it is ranked third as the most dangerous country in the world.
4. Russia
Russia is on this list due to a high level of homicides, political instability, corruption, poverty, and so many more problems. The country faces many difficulties with protests, civil unrest, high inequality, and political instability. The country is on the verge of having higher levels of violence. It is best to stay away.
5. South Sudan
South Sudan has been in a significant civil war since it declared independence in 2011. The healthcare and education systems are in disarray. The infrastructure is lacking. Major armed groups make living in South Sudan a dangerous choice. Over 400,000 have been killed since 2011, and over 2 million have been displaced. It is not a safe place to live.
6. Democratic Republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo has had a history of significant violence. The government is greedy and weak. There are armed groups that control much of the country, and gangs are easily able to recruit new members to join them. With a lack of hope and progress, the country will continue to be one of the most dangerous countries for many years.
7. Iraq
Since the Iraq war ended, there still has not been anything super positive going on in Iraq. It is ranked as the seventh most dangerous country in the world. The government is ranked as one of the most corrupt governments in the world, and the lasting effects of the Iraqi War are still being felt.
8. Somalia
Living in a country with massive poverty and lacking resources can be challenging. Somalia is in a bad place, with over six million people needing assistance and terrorist groups roaming the country attacking citizens. The government is working on creating a better place, but there is much to do to help the citizens.
9. Central African Republic
Due to violence and instability, The Central African Republic is considered one of the most dangerous countries in the world. The violence and killings of innocent civilians worsen matters, and it seems that the violence has no end in sight. The lack of security makes people fear for their lives as they try to live.
10. Sudan
Sudan has been ranked as one of the most dangerous countries in the world. The civil war has raged since 1983, and no end is in sight. There have over 2 million people that have lost their lives, and the government has been accused of mass genocide in the Darfur area. Many terrorist groups, such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda, influence the region.
11. Ukraine
Ukraine was once ranked as the 33rd safest country in the world, with a low crime rate and citizens feeling safe and secure. Since the invasion of Russia, the country has dropped to one of the most dangerous countries in the world. The Russian government has many human rights violations and atrocities towards the citizens. It is a travesty to see the fall of Ukraine.

Many countries are great to travel to, but these 11 dangerous countries must be added to the bucket list. They are hazardous, with tons of violence and a lack of governmental support. Traveling can be fun, but make sure to stay safe.
